These plans and instructions let you build your very own kigurumi mask base from cardstock or thin cardboard. Perfect for costumes or cosplay! Many people love the look of kigurumi masks, but cannot make one themselves due to the complexity of building one. Hopefully this papercraft kit will make it easier for more people to explore the fun and creative world of kigurumi masking. When this papercraft model is fully assembled, it will be a sturdy and easy to modify blank base that you can finish with paper maché, fiberglass, or however you want.

When assembled, this mask is highly detailed and will provide an excellent starting pointing to making a high quality kigurumi mask. Due to the complexity of the model, it may not look very beginner friendly, but with just a little patience and a careful eye, I have faith that anyone can assemble this fun and cute papercraft mask. If you can cut, fold, and match up numbers and tabs, you can make this project! Furthermore, this project has now been improved thanks to some valuable customer feedback, and is now both more detailed and easier to assemble.

Please note that this kit is for assembling a blank base kigurumi mask, not a finished one. As such, many of the major details such as the mouth, ears, and eyeholes are not present. My hope is that you can use this sturdy base model to customize and build your own unique kigurumi mask however you like and can imagine.
